John Brodhead
Vice-President of Strategy & Communications, Metrolinx
John is the Vice-President of Strategy and Communications for Metrolinx, the regional transportation planning agency for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Prior to joining Metrolinx John was a Senior Policy Advisor for Premier Dalton McGuinty on infrastructure, transportation and social policy.
Lucas Robinson

Lucas currently works with CIDA’s Afghanistan Task Force. He has travelled extensively throughout Africa, North America, Europe, and Asia for work, study and pleasure. He holds a Masters degree from George Washington University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto.

Sabrina Amato
Teacher, Conseil Scolaire de District du Centre-Sud-Ouest
Sabrina Amato is currently a teacher at École secondaire Étienne-Brûlé where she specializes in Biology, Science and Student Success programming. She also supervises the Empowered Student Partnership program which facilitates collaborations between high school students and non-governmental organizations, social programs, and the Toronto Police services. Her degree in Zoology from the University of Toronto took her to the jungles of Vietnam where she tracked down insects (Aplosonyx ancora) that eat perfect circles out of the leaves of aroid plants.
Lindsay Archibald
Assistant Documentalist, Canadian Museum of Civilization
Lindsay Archibald is responsible for much of the Treehouse Group’s web presence, and designs its publicity material. She has an honours degree in Contemporary Studies and History from the University of King’s College, Halifax, and a Master of Museum and Heritage Studies from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Over the last ten years she has had the good fortune to travel, study, and work all over the world, though she likes Canada the best. She spends her free time making things, playing Scrabble and organising social events, and has exceptional taste in podcasts.
Richard Yee
Real Estate Investor and Property Manager
Richard owns and manages real estate with a portfolio focusing on Central Toronto neighbourhoods. He holds a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering and Master of Applied Science from the University of Toronto with specialities in Structural Engineering and Building Science. Richard also has practical knowledge in the building trades and interest in economics, urban issues and the human built environment.
Nicolas Rouleau
Lawyer and Freelance Academic
Nicolas Martin Rouleau is a practising constitutional lawyer, academic, and co-founder of the Treehouse Group. He has taught courses on comparative constitutional law, international development, and political philosophy at India’s top law schools and lectured on federalism, democracy, development, and corporate governance throughout India. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Ottawa Law School. Nicolas holds a Master of the Science of the Law (J.S.M.) from Stanford University Law School, where his thesis focused on foreign direct investment, and an LL.B. magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa Law School. He received a 2007-2008 Fulbright Award, the 2007-2008 Viscount Bennett Fellowship, and a 2007-2008 SPILS Scholarship. Nicolas also studied life sciences at the University of Toronto. Nicolas has clerked for the Honourable Justice Marie Deschamps of the Supreme Court of Canada, has worked on development with the UN, Red Cross, and Uganda Human Rights Commission in several African countries, and is currently fundraising to build a school in Uganda. Mirella Amato
Beerologist, Beerology
Mirella Amato wants to help people discover and explore craft beer. Specializing in Ontario and Québec brews, Mirella has made the promotion of craft beer her full-time job. She shares her knowledge and enthusiasm through freelance work with a focus on public speaking and education, conducting guided beer tasting sessions and seminars. Mirella is a regular contributor to TAPS, Canada’s beer magazine, and has been published in a number of North American beer magazines and brewspapers. She is a founding member of Cask! and is involved in many projects that focus on promoting local beer, and beer appreciation in general. Loreen Barbour
Loreen Barbour has worked both locally and internationally in the social services sector, dedicating herself to organizations that use educational initiatives to confront issues of poverty and access. She currently works on access to justice and organizational training programs for the Government of Ontario.
